Hi Sailfish Families! 

DUAL MEET THIS WEEKEND AGAIST THE INWOOD SHARKS:

Don’t forget to declare your swimmer for this weekend’s meet against the Inwood Sharks! Deadline is tonight by 11:59 PM. We need all the support we can get as we take on the Sharks, so let’s bring our energy and team spirit! This meet is also an important opportunity for swimmers to post qualifying times and improve their seed times for the Championship Meet, so participation is highly encouraged. Let’s go Sailfish!!!

CLARIFICATION FOR “NOTES” ON MEET ENTRIES:

For those who are new, I think it's best we clarify that the Notes section on Meet Entries is for suggestions only and will not be the final decision for event placement. You may suggest to the coach that your swimmer may not be ready for some strokes, or maybe your swimmer(s) hasn't tried or swam in an event that they would like to attempt, but it will be the decision of the coaches to decide event placement and whether or not a swimmer is ready to try something new.

For the 5-6 year olds, swimmers may only swim freestyle and backstroke. They don't get into the advanced strokes until 7+. Swimmers can swim up to THREE individual events and a max of TWO relays (if chosen).

The coaches are trying to get times in ALL strokes they believe your swimmer may be legal in. This may mean that your swimmer gets entered into an event that isn't their favorite, but due to having a limited amount of dual meets, the coaches need to take every opportunity to get times on everyone for every stroke, so they can decide what’s best for the team come Championships. CHAMPIONSHIP MEET ENTRIES ARE OPEN:

This is to determine who will be available to go to Champs, but DOES NOT indicate you are eligible. Eligibility when selecting who gets to attend Champs will result from attendance, individual times that are legally executed in the dual meets, and fulfilling volunteer requirements. Please let us know if you’re available to attend by declaring your swimmer.
